  • Being a Scot, I retired to Cape Breton and built my home in St.Peter's but I drove to Margaree Forks many, many times to stay with Cameron and his mum Annie Mae. Funnily enough, they used to listen to me singing Hank Williams, etc., before Cammie would play. God Bless one of the finest fiddlers ever and the nicest family on God's Earth, Scotty and Donna.

  • Francis still has his great smile!

  • This was taped at Mac Isaac's Lodge in 1977. The program was Ryan's Fancy and the guest was J Francis Mac Donald of Margaree.

  • Well Troy is an adopted Caper...just south of the causeway.

  • Very proud to say Cameron Chisholm is my uncle and was born to perform. Now if we could only get Cameron , my mother (his sister) Margaret McDonald(nee Chisholm) and Maybelle Chisholm-MacQueen on stage together to share their gifts. The music is our heritage and runs through our veins, but their talent is what fills our hearts. hint hint (how is that for a hint for the 3 siblings to get together and to share the beautiful sound God gave them )Love Mimi and kids

  • Gle Mhath! Ceol Math!

  • Thanks for sharing this!!! Great fiddle stuff.

  • Aye A Scottish tradition The fun is the music & in the blood. We wish we were in ther Maritimes to live it but even even if we were not...it's in our blood.

  • This is wonderful.....love it all

  • What a great tradition. Besides its sheer beauty I love this music because of the idea that these splendid happy tunes were treasure, carried, preserved, embellished and passed on over centuries by ordinary people who loved the music so deeply and kept it going at Saturday night dances. The Cape Breton fiddle music is the world's most beautiful music. Nothing else is even close. The world's three greatest musicians are all Cape Bretonners, Natalie, Troy and Carl Mackenzie. rubiotwirls
