A word has as much power as you give it. If someone calls you a nigger hoping to get under you skin then you played their game. To me if you give a word a negative "power" then that's how people will receive it. I personally don't say nigger but I do say nigga and negro

We as Black People need to let the word die. The word "Nigger" alone is an insult in two ways.

1. An insulting term used by White Men during Slavery.

2. An insulting term used to describe a person who you feel is ignorant. Okay i'm done, sorry for ranting there.

I hate any variation of the word "Nigger". While i am 16, black, and tend to say "Nigga" around my homies(a habit i'd like to break mind you) I simply DON'T like the word or any variation. Since it's such a stupid, insulting, term i can't see when it's EVER OKAY to say it. Keep in mind the word "Nigger" in itself IS "Nigga" changing the last two letters in NO WAY makes it a term of endearment, a compliment, or a nickname for your friends and IT SHOULDN'T

I am 13, i was born in North Carolina, but i was raised in Northern Virginia.

Today, nigga, nigguh, nigger, niggz, nigga, niggero, ect. is a popular slang term. when i went ot middle school, i noticed people saying it a lot more, like people who weren't black, and it used to bother me. but now, i don;t care, nigger (and other variations) are no longer used a hate term , but more as a term you'd you to someone familiar to you. Like homie, or girlfriend. people need to stop living in the past.

Nigger: Comes from Spanish "Negro" (meaning black). It is a latin Cognate (related) to Germanic "Night".

The word itself is meaningless to me, because I know what it is all about.
