A frigid day along the Staples Sub between Detroit Lakes and Hawley. With a high of -11 for the day and a steady winchill of around -45, it was certainly cold

  • I love your videos. but i am disappointed in the opening shot. i love it and the lighting was perfect but you didn't zoom out with the train and i am stuck watching in zoom mode. it seem too many people are too devoted to their still cameras to manipulate their camcorders.

  • That would be correct, still images are always a priority over video.

  • cool literally and if you thought -45 farenhight was cole, try bieng in here (winterpeg man-i-snow-ba) -45 CELCIUS!!! OMFGHAXXORZROFLMAO!! it is COLD!

  • I'll respect that as cold... but it is pretty close to the same. -40F and -40C is the only place that the two temperature scales are the same.

  • Whata-----85% of what they run up there coal trains?

  • the coal trains were heavy on this day... normally there are lots more stacks and manifests though

  • Gotta love those 3-4 milers(coal) Great video!!!!!

  • Cool ;-)

  • is this in wyoming or wheres this place located?

  • I like BNSF but here in the Toledo OH area we get all kinds of diff rail roads you should come check it out. My only prob with BNSF is that it seems like all of our coal comes from jacobs ranch or the other mine out there. The poor people in the hills out east all lost there mining jobs becuse of that stupid ass EPA and the left wing global warming BS. The EPA will do anything left wing to hurt Amereican jobs and keep theres.

  • Another great video. Love the BNSF SD70ace at front. I just bought one from MTH in HO scale. I have to send it back! The sound quit, the engine runs funky, the fan covers fell off!? Ill stick with Broadway and Athearn. Ive herd some other people having probs with thers and MTH customer service sucks! Anyway nice video, must be hard on those engines at that temp

  • loved it!was the amtrak really on the staples sub?

  • Great video, well done.

Oh, for Squawk7600, it is in Minnesota. NW of Minneapolis, on the way to Fargo, North Dakota area

  • What type of camera do you use to take video?
