This video is of an experimental flight simulator platform designed by Don Leibold. The floating cockpit is based on the 20 sided geometric structure called an icosahedron. The platform hovers on a cushion of air flowing from a circular base. Eventually it will provide motion for a flight simulator by integrating computer controlled gyroscopes. The entire frame will be be covered and have the ability to rotate 360 degrees in any direction. The video was shot December 2009 at the old Bohemer Box building in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
