It's called brake fade. It's when your brake fluid overheats thus causing it to boil, which in turn creates air pockets in the lines.

well yeah dude, if your car aint handling right for shit you have to use more brakes then you normally do in order to make it turn. Then if you overheat them they loose stoping power and it feels like you ran out of brakes.
