It's the love child of an F-5 Tiger and an F/A-18 Hornet.

PS....that geriatric wanker claimed Mach 1.4 in an early Kitplane add from the 90's here in front of me - a F-4F Phantom II is realistically pushing hard to reach that..but in my time, havent seen a F-4 fall apart like a Walwart toy under 350mph...let alone Mach 1.4..:-)

First one to throw a shock wave in a BD-10, I buy a beer...its another 1m$ + widow maker from BEDE..nothing else, look at the history of those designs! Very few, very talented brains got a BD-5 flying properly, even less with the turbo jet version. The Granville Brothers had a bad reputation, but they were just ahead of time....but that plastic wannabe fighter is just a rich man's quick way in to a pine box...as history has shown..

They were first: Marganski Myslowski EM-10 Bielik Jet
Second: Javelin ATG

If the construction had worked out it would have been a dream to own and fly....

Just another death trap...

The BD-10 is notorious. There was a vertical stabilizer failure issue that ultimately killed three pilots in three separate but similar crashes. Jim Bede claimed to have fixed it after the first crash, but the data for his fix was erroneous and caused two more deaths. The airplane did not and never would have the ability to fly at supersonic speeds, as it was both underpowered and overweight as built.

Apparently 5 were built. 3 of them crashed and the remaining 2 are grounded and now used as displays.
