5 Screens Video installation,
Seok Gallery, Daegu, Korea / May 14 - June 13, 2010
Based on the concentric proliferation of thousands of rotating circles. The more they spin, the more they multiply. These circles compose an hypnotic structure that, at a certain point, becomes more and more chaotic and finally ends up into a void image. And another proliferation cycle of spinning circles starts again... And this loop process is potentiality endless. What interests Pascal Dombis here is how an algorithmic principle of rotating circles ( which has been already used by many artists, especially Marcel Duchamp) can create different sensational environments (vertigo, vortex, infinitude ) that go beyond the technological process that has created them.
