The Amazing Ring Race POP VIDEO HOUSTON

On Saturday, March 5th at 11 am, hundreds of local couples met at Town Green Park on a mission: to race around the city in Houston's first Amazing Ring Race in hopes of finding and keeping the diamond ring using their cells phones. Thomas Markle Jewelers partnered with SCVNGR Inc to turn The Woodlands into a real-world game board, Amazing Race style. Once the game kicked off, the teams were sent to solve clues and perform challenges using their mobile devices. It was a race for that lucky couple to find the secret location of the ArtCarved diamond ring, worth $15,000.

There was an after event party at Bakers Street Pub and Grimaldi's Pizza, at approximately 3 pm, where the winners were announced, the ring was presented, and a newly engaged couple went home with their extraordinary prize.

To participate in the game, the couples submitted their love stories to www.amazingringracehouston.com. The stories were reviewed by the folks at Thomas Markle Jewelers and SCVNGR, and the couples with the best ones were offered a chance to partake in the game on Saturday, March 5th.
