メッセージウインドウが出る瞬間に別の場所を調べると、最初のメッセージを閉じるまでそのメッセージの処理が保留される仕様を利用して、こんな事ができたりします。SFC­実機でやってますが、PS版でも（メニュー開く時間がウザイのを我慢すれば）可能です。

I think I see what's happening. In the beginning of the video, he's showing how command menus buffer themselves in the End of Time, allowing you to change the warp in mid-animation. Then he spends the rest of the video trying to do that while jumping in the Epoch, and succeeds at the end, where the game gets locked in an infinite loop.
