http://varsity.evtrib.com - The Mesa High football team visits the Mesa Cemetery to learn about how the school was given its motto. Zedo Ishikawa, a football star at the school, died in 1932 after a gun accident. He reportedly said before he died, Tell Coach Coutchie and the boys to carry on. The schools motto, Carry on, was born.

I go to Mesa High School for two years, but from the assembly's to the Haka the football team really does have a great impact on the other students and cleaning the cemetery every year just another step that helps us as a role model to the rest of the school I love Coach Moore and the rest of my team and I'm hoping to take charge of this team next year as starting QB.

Nephew is spelled with only one 'w'. I always thought that MHS must be really desperate for a hero if it worships a kid who killed himself out of a failure to follow even the most elementary gun safety guidelines.
