Simple. The Carbon Tax is a scam to deindustrialize our country, strangle any economic development through energy control, and put us back into farming communities. There is no way solar wind or geothermal are going to deliver effective consistent base load power to the grid with current technologies.

Socialism/communism/fascism power grab on industry to destroy the middle class via forced wealth re distribution.... lol dont get me started

Global warming is NOT man-made. It's cyclical and we are finally coming out of an ice-age. Instead of debating, we should try to figure out how to get energy, food and water to 3rd world countries. And maybe we shouldn't throw our trash into the ocean. Just saying...

I think a good rule of thumb is, the more someone stresses their good intentions, the less you should believe in them. Tony Blair told us he was 'a pretty straight kind of guy'. We were assured on this show that the debate has moved on from the eugenics aspects of the environmentalist cause, and that all involved care passionately about people. But if, hypothetically speaking, that is decidedly not the case, would they be likely to say, 'Well ok, cards on the table- we want a lot of you dead' ?

@Chumnah But there is going to be no farming community soon due to the fracking taking place in Australia which is poisoning our underground fresh water supply. It seems to me that most of the western world's politicians are adhering to other interest and are betraying their people. The most scary thing is that my generation is more interested in spending their weekends pissed drunk then these issues and soak up everything the government tells them without question. Obedient slaves achieved.
