World Yachts Trophies 2009

With the World Yachts Trophies event and yachts parade, held during the Cannes International Boat Show, Yachts Magazine celebrated innovation and great design. Among the winners this year were two exceptional yachts from American shipyards: Sycara IV, a custom yacht by Burger Boat Company of Wisconsin, featured in this issue, and the LSX 92 from Lazzara Yachts of Tampa, featured in the January issue of Yachts International. Both Burger Boat Company and Lazzara Yachts were previous World Yachts Trophy winners. The jury, comprised of the director of publication, editors and regular contributors of the various Yachts titles around the world (Yachts France, Yachts Russia, Yachts International, Yachts Croatia, Yachts Italia and Yachts Emirates), voted for finalists and winners after a pre-selection of about 10 yachts in the various categories (redefined this year to reflect recent trends in the yachting world).
