Okay, now you're not allowed to not finish.
I wanna finish reading it... the video's cool. (though you might want to edit out the watermark labels next time. They're kinda distracting)

I'm trying to finish it! My laptop kinda got repossessed by my parents, so I've dropped finishing this one during Nano, (and the sci-fi one, unfortunately) and am just trying to do its sequel handwritten. :) Not going well so far.

How do they expect you to do NaNo without a way to type things? (And how are you managing to keep track of your word count?)

They aren't exactly approving of my doing Nano...
I'm handwriting it, and I write how many word are on a page, and then total that when I want to update.

your parents pick the weirdest things to get upset about... What could possible be wrong with NaNoWriMo (It's certainly more productive than WoW)
that sounds terrible... I could never NaNo like that
Why'd they take your laptop?

They think that my writing is a waste of time, that I let it distract me from "the big picture".
They had wanted me to get the military thing all sorted out by November, and I didn't (even though I had been working on it all month) so they took away the laptop, saying that it was not in my best interest to have my laptop at this point. I've been a bit annoyed ever since, but I think I'll manage. I was wanting to get a newer laptop anyway, when paychecks become more frequent.

Your parents are so unsupportive... what 'big picture'? I thought that was part of your big picture
Yeh.. Thats really something you ought to get figured out. but did they really need to take away your laptop? that seems a little overkill

They don't think that writing fiction is a worthwhile occupation, (Plus they hate my story) that I'm just wanting to laze around around all day and not find a "real" occupation. (Writing isn't work???) Its part of my big picture, but not part of their big picture for me.
I do have it figured out, I just didn't have all of it put together in time.
But, I have been allowed to use the family computer for Nano while the kids are at school, as long as I'm not slacking on the more important things

I suppose I do see where they're coming from with that. they're probably just worried about you. The market's very similar to acting. Do you have an alternate by any chance? (How can they hate your story, have they not read it?? [or have they read it too many times?])

at least you can finish. I was wondering how you planned to verify it if it was written on notebook paper.

Hi
Sorry I didn't post on this before. I couldn't find the video until I looked on your NaNo site. I really like it! Huzzah for you!
