SampleTank® for iPhone / iPod touch includes audiophile samples of several world-renown grand pianos including the most sought-after Steinway® and Yamaha® models. The premier pianos were sampled in true stereo (no programming tricks!) and at multiple velocities for extreme expression and dynamic response. Upright and mono pianos are also available to give you maximum choice for finding the exact piano sound you need for your recording or live performance. Also available is the classic SampleTank piano used on many hit albums. Your options are vast!

And for control, switch from a spectacular 9' concert grand to a vibey, weathered upright on the fly with the touch of a single button. Or check out the contrast between samples of Steinway® and Yamaha® grands with a quick A-B comparison. Or how about an A-B-C-D comparison! Try stereo vs. mono versions, etc. The choice is yours, and the power is in your hands with SampleTank for iOS! SampleTank also includes amazingly playable samples of classic stage and suitcase electric pianos for your pop ballad or jazz fusion epic. With studio-quality effects, you can play electric pianos with dirty overdrive, pristine crystal-clear EQ, atmospheric phasing, chorus and more! The power of SampleTank is now in your iPhone / iPod touch. Check it out today!

  • I got irig working with sampletank on my electric piano, but when I choose grand piano, I cant play any note below C2. any reason why?

  • @KoffieFrats If it is not playing patterns when you play down there (no sound at all) contact tech support and they will help you out. Thanks!

  • can i use my m-audio 88es on this one?

  • @ultramanrichie From the iRig MIDI FAQ: Most MIDI keyboards will work with iRig MIDI. The keyboard must be Core MIDI compatible and connected to the keyboard via one of the included MIDI cables.

If your keyboard is USB only, with no MIDI connections, it will not work with iRig MIDI.

  • @ikmultimedia

just got the iRig Midi...pretty fast tracking on my 88es :)

just don't know how to assign the volume keys though :(

  • @ultramanrichie Please contact Technical Support from the app or our site for any technical questions. Thanks!

  • @DansAppleTv1 If it is recognized by MIDI applications, etc it would like any other. iRig MIDI is a MIDI interface.

  • Would it recognise the sustain pedal on my Yamaha keyboard?

  • @shreddinglarry The beautiful sounds come from the app, not the keyboard. If you use iRig MIDI and have a MIDI controller with MIDI ports to hook up (which that Yamaha model may not have) you can really get great control but the app is also Core MIDI compliant too. Note that with iRig MIDI you will get a set of bonus sounds when you register and use it!

  • So does the keyboard have anything to do with how the final sound is? Will I get sounds like these if I use My yamaha DGX-230 with it?
