To Go Far Is To Return (Original Composition)

So this weekend was my Mom's birthday and it so happened that I uploaded another original composition ((Post)Shock Doctrine) on that day...my parents said they liked it but it wasn't really their style hahaha. Well, I'm trying to make amends - happy birthday again Mom, hope this one is more to your liking. =)

This is the last real track on the EP, i.e. a track I play on. I composed some short synth pieces to serve as the prologue and epilogue. This piece itself has sort of a 'Snowfall' vibe (from my first project, Unforeseen Peril), but I programmed some synths to fill out the chord backdrops and tried for some vocal-like, sparse solo lines. Ideally I would want a cello playing on this, or a female vocalist, but oh well. To quote "the philosopher Jagger" (or Dr. Gregory House) - you can't always get what you want...(but if you try sometimes, well you might find, you get what you need!)
