@maypema I have a purebreed that looks just like the dark one but he's not as fluffy.
His hair is still growing back because my sister shaved him before she gave him to me -.-.. I could have killed her, you're never supposed to shave an akita and my Bowser is the perfect case of why not to.

We had one with a english bulldog and a multiese (sp?) They all got along great. We gave them lots of attention though.

why is this guy saying that Charlie is sick? he looks very fine akita to me! I just got my first akita puppy 2 weeks ago, and I'm planing to get him a female akita very soon. Akita are the king of the Dogs. and yours look like a king. enjoy him.

Nope, Charlie is fine. this was over two years ago & he's a happy healthy Akita who turned 9 November 2008.

Charlie & Pema are both AKC registered Akitas. Their type is often referred to casually as American Akitas. Charlie will be 10 in November and Pema is now 11 years old. This video was a couple of years ago. They are both still healthy, alert & full of life.

Charlie is a neutered male (dark) born in 1999. Pema the red & white pinto is a spayed female born in 1998. They have been together all their lives.
