This has to be the benchmark! No matter how hard our generation tries.. we can't reach heights this song achieved!

I heard Ustad Amir Khan say in a radio progranmme, shortly before his tragic death, that it was he who suggested Pandit D V Pulaskar's name to to sing the Baiju Bawara part. His judgement was marvellous. He could not have made a better choice.

Cant compliment Naushad sahab enough for this composition - specially because he had to compose this to be of a short duration giving enough singing material to each mastreo and plus keeping the film situation and its audience in mind!
