Katie Juhl, Manager of Mobile at National Geographic announces that National Geographic together with National Geographic Traveler will create mobile augmented reality experiences on the Layar platform.
The first city to be augmented will be Washington DC, with travel news, environmental news, historical information, beautiful photographs and gorgeous videos.
National Geographic wants to inspire people to care about the planet; augmented reality helps to provide better and more inspiring learning experiences. National Geographic Traveler Magazine is the most read traveler magazine in the world.
