@N0bb13 Sadly RAF Lyneham has been closed, but there are others such as Yeovilton, the Air Show is really spectacular.

How long are deployments to places like Afghan etc?

@nastyphoenix Hi, it depends on what trade you do and where you are deployed to really. Some tours last about 6 months. You can find out a bit more on the RAF Careers website, under 'What We Offer', there is a page called 'Travel'.
