  • its TERAFLOPS not teraherz. It runs @ 5Ghz X 80cores in a 2d mesh matrix for a total output of 1.6 TRILLION floating point operations per second

  • This is NOT a Cell. It is a x86 based CPU with 80 cores, not 8. It would make Cell look like a Pentium.

  • @FearSyndr0me waffers are very expensive to make, if you do ur maths and calculate that a square with a circumfernce of 16cm and a circle with a circumfernce of 16cm, the circle will have more area. thats why they make coke cans circle and not square, just because it lets you put more coke in and use less material. the most efficent shape or should i say maximum area per circumfernce is circle. and as for die on waffer they are only built very small so they would fit on circle easily. save $

  • i want this in my laptop xD

  • luian90 , playstation 3 bas the cell chip already

  • i heard this is coming out in about 4 or 5 years.....glad am goung haha ama buy this even if it coastes 10000 dollars and i think it is but hey....ama finally be ableto run crysis all max out at 1000000000 frames perseconds..haha lol jk i have a 7i now and it donw compare to this at all

  • on what temperatures is working the disk ?

  • Would you rather do 1 calculation at 1TERAHERT.

    or 1,000,000,000,000 calculations at 3ghz?

  • cool

  • Terahertz =clock speed,

    Teraflops=instructions per second,

    80 core processor so each is doing about 320 instctions per tick.

  • dude.. first, know the difference between FLOPS and HERTZ
