They have suffered alot back in Mother Country. They are faced with so much poverty and sickness. We, as the Children of Cambodia living abroad in peace, should have mercy. If one cannot help in funds, the least one could do is refrain from insulting fellow Khmers. Insulting is not proper behavior. We should help each other so that we could all benefit.

There are those that do not adhere to this principle. Everytime they see Khmer people, they often curse them in every way. The people in Srok Khmer saw those coming to visit from abroad were so happy to see them, wanted to socialize and keep as relatives, wanted to boost esteem and say hello, etc. But, the visitors did not think they are wonderful people for swarming them, insulting them as weak, etc.

We should not do as this example above. There are other ethnic people living abroad, whenever they become prosperous abroad, they often return to their homeland to build their homeland so that they may have a face in society. They build schools, temples, hospital, etc., for their country so that their country may be prosperous and happy. As for Cambodians on the most part, forget once they are in the land of plenty. Rather than helping, they bring back insults instead.

That is the reason why in Shakymuni Gautoma Buddha, Maitreya Buddha choose this country to radiate His Dhamma of Peace. When that time comes (Prophecy), Lok Ta will report then. For now, the message is loving kindness to all beings, more specifically Cambodians to fellow Cambodians. We must adhere closely and clearly to traditions. Afterall, we are from the same seed, the same race, together.

We must consider that Khmer race/ethnicity is our race of origin with old and valued traditions. Because of demerits due to lack of intelligence and loving kindness toward one another, where we often hurt and kill our own race, make our race the most oppressed race in man's history.

But, remember this, Children, and you may take this to the bank:

However much Khmer suffer, there will be a day and time where they will enjoy most peace, 1000s fold, again. Just remember that.

So, let's end the Dhamma Desna with that message...

  • I did not against with Lok ta,he famous n wise.I dint mean ridicute/discrimination him but just hurt our feeling; when i heard khmer abraod lookdown Khmer at srok khmer.we aways suport. We also woked hard to find money LOK TA should realized that..not reprimanding us.

  • thanks for your clarification. i can sympathize w/ you. however, my indignation is that we cannot do enough b/c there are so many Khmer homeland suffering. lok ta is reprimanding in general, but it'll only benefit those who see it personally. do you know what i mean?--if you are helping already, continue to help. it's encouragement not discouragement. this video was made in early years, much oppositions then. as lok ta is seeing more solidarity among khmer now, he's praising that. Thnx&BestWishes

  • Who was the white dress like Nak Sach Chang in the cave? Talk like shittt to the peole at

broad. Most of khmer living outside country

never forgot and look down khmer inside the country always help peoples,Templs, shcools ...

you should just staid in cave and keep more PHEARVINNEAR !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Firstly, thanks for showing any interest in my video clips, enough to post your comments. Secondly, I cannot helped but think there is a misunderstanding somewhere. If there is anything to be gained from this lecture, it is that Khmer should eat some humble pie. He is talking in general. Khmer abroad, strictly speaking, have it better than Khmer in homeland. There are those that care and then there are those that do not care. The more Khmer care, the better. This is the underlining message.

  • Thirdly, I think that it is wise to refrain from comments of ridicule/discrimination for once it is in the cyber air, it stays that way. I don't delete anybody's message for I don't believe in discrimination, either. As for refraining being wise, let's just say there are things out there that are more profound than one imagines. That is, one cannot get the big picture, yet. To say something before one finds out the whole picture leaves one to regret what one says later. The Middle Way is advised

  • i think its the opposite. srok khmer ppl like to "vai ruk" ya know wut i'm sayin? i met a few in srok khmer already. chleuy as fuck, man.

  • I think Lok Ta is reprimanding all of us. We suffer greatly as a race because we don't treat each other respectfully and see each other as family, relatives. We should banish ill will and cultivate good will with each other for peace, esp. in our race. :D

  • yeah, but people in cambodia didn't think like that bro!

they think we make easy money abroad?huh, DA

  • thanks for brother reksmay dharma!!you r right lok ta said in general for khmers at abroad.I didn't know if i was misundestood what he recited ,tesna, but most of my friends, and families around me when i was accedently click right on your clip n every body heard that.

  • There are selective people. I think it goes both ways--US and Srok. I think we just have to be enlightened in mind to treat everybody equally with respects for peace overall. He's saying on behalf of Khmer as a race. :)
