It is only possible to move forwards in time at different speeds not backwards! Time for us began at the point of the last big bang. I think that when the universe expansion stops accellerating,and matter stops emitting energy and radiation. with nothing to propel the universe only gravity is left, this will pull the matter back together and the next big squeeze will give rise to another big bang, time will start again..

Interesting point. Why would time stop/start at the big crunch? Also, in a crunch/bang universe, isn't time infinite?

Yes time is infinite within the universe as a whole but at absolute zero in a part of the universe absent of all energy no molecules vibrate. This lack of vibration means they no longer move through space and are at a fixed point in space/time.

 For significant time travel it is not practical to travel vast distances at high speed. We could however artificialy vibrate molecules, ie water molecules in a microwave oven, but the heat will need to be removed Vibration without heat=time travel?

Yes hibernation is a form of time travel.

We don't know this world, we just know it as information that our brain understand as Image, Sound....

So if we can gather or reproduce that "past information" we can live the past, that means we bring the past to us not we go to it.

I am sur that we will not going to the past because we have never seen som one from the futer in our past.

@timetravelexperiment Some say it isn't possible to go back in time and then others say there IS a possibility to go backwards in time to the past! If traveling back in time to the past is possible and avalible somehow then can you tell me how it works and what people have to do to time travel backwards to the past? Because if it's possbile then I want go back in time to the year 1982 before I was born and start my life and childhood memories all over again because life today is overrated.

@Esurname you can actually go backwards with less power then you can go forward so going back may actually be easier then to travel forward

@Esurname time does not start ore something lik does even not exist, it is just a deffinition to separate actions in some order. So time is just a fiction to make actions logical for our minds. If there are copys of the past in the universe then it could be possible to visit them, but this has nothing to do with time itself!

this might sound stupid but time travel would be more likely to happen if we only saw what we would like in 10 years or so, and we would be able to relive some of our memories. However I would prefer to go back to the past because you will live in the future either way or not.
