It is incredible how many people can't tell the difference between a dance performance and a circus performance.. Usually in North America in a dance performance people burst in applause every time the dancers do something virtuoso or a difficult lift like if they were in a circus. In any music concert or dance performance people should applaud at the end of the piece.
