Since I'm already 30 and a Denver resident myself,I often think what has become of the old 38th and tennyson location.Well I was surprised believe me,if you're a Denver resident this video will be just for you for a bit of nostalgia. No bad comments on my telephone pole obsession they will DEFINITELY be removed. Also I may not have been right on certain things,so if I'm wrong calmly and patiently tell me
I like the new park but the old one was way better if they added gardens and more of a family feel to the new one it would be great

That building you refer to as the old entrance is actually the building that housed the carousel. The old arch entrance that was on the corner of 38th & Tennyson is gone.

Old Elitch Gardens was so much better than the new park in too many ways to list in under 500 words. The new park is a nice addition to the renewal of downtown Denver and the LoDo development. However, it just doesn't look as though it was planned out as thoroughly as it could've or should've been IMHO. The park is very sparse in regards to the landscaping that Elitch Gardens was about. No big shady trees abound to keep visitors cool. And the Mom & Pop family feel is completely non existent. =`(

I miss the original Elitch gardens too. Thanks for posting. Wasn't there an old arch way that said "welcome to elitch gardens"? It was really interesting to see what has come of the old park location.
