ALL STAR CELEBRITY FUNDRAISER BENEFITING THE GULF OIL SPILL FUND HOSTED BY 79TH UNIT ELITE
Los Angeles based web marketing company 79th Unit Elite, founded by UK born Phoenix Valentino, has invited Hollywood to lend a hand to the residents of the Gulf Coast by attending The Red Carpet Charity Benefit at The Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
The purpose of the event is to raise money for The Gulf Oil Spill Fund-- a non-profit organization that collects and allocates donations to people and organizations on the ground working for the relief effort. "We hope that the buzz generated by this event, with it's celebrity and media presence, will inspire people in other privileged areas of the country to take some time out and lend a hand." Valentino said of his company's intentions.
79th Unit Elite believes in the importance of such an effort and the philanthropic nature of the Hollywood community. Notable humanitarians Robert Redford, James Cameron, Kevin Costner, Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Christina Aguilera, Kim Kardashian, and others have been invited to participate and speak on behalf of the Hollywood community in support of this great cause.
When approached with the plans for the event The Gulf Oil Spill Fund press department replied, "We are absolutely thrilled and grateful for Hollywood coming out and supporting the residents of The Gulf Coast. This is the way we are going to pull through this, by banding together and realizing that we are one."
79th Unit Elite is currently in talks with British Petroleum to secure the oil company's participation in the charity fundraiser.
