Hello friends, this is my very first tutorial. I wanted to create this for CGTUTS but i couldn't that's why i am uploading this tutorial here, In this tutorial i will teach you the correct lighting of an interior scene using mentalray with correct dimensions,
I will teach you the quick setup of lighting in 3ds max and we can use this setup with any Interior day scene.
Whether you know autocad or not i will teach you a very simple way to understand the drawing so that you can make your scene in correct dimensions in the max itself.

Note:- The modeling parts is for Beginners and the Materials & Rendering parts is for Intermediate artists.

  • Great job its beautiful but i have one question is this 3d max thing the same as cad or autocad or is it a different program? And do u live in NY by any chance that sounds like NY traffic outside

  • @Radd1992 @Radd1992, AUTOCAD mostly use for drafting, planning, all dwg stuff. Where 3ds Max is a 3D modeling, animation and rendering program from the Media and Entertainment.

  • LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOST WELL EXPLAINED TUTORIAL OF RENDERING WITH MENTAL RAY!

  • @WoofyProductions Thanks! I am glad you liked it.

  • Its there any good lighting system that doesn't involve mental ray because I find that it limits certain effects, more specifically in my case, lense effects. I'm just looking for a good general lighting effect or technique that would simulate day light similar to the day light system.

  • @EtienneLF, Lens effect can be create in post-production (After Rendering) in Photoshop. There are some plugins to create nice LENS EFFECTS.

  • @Radd1992 you can also take Autocad,Revit, and Inventor and import models from those programs and render and edit them in 3ds max
