This was my first time doing a custom toy and this is a RoseArt Color Blank, which is basically a generic KidRobot type toy. I wanted to practice to see if I really like doing this before kicking out the money to get the Munny. If you don't know what I'm talking about you can go to http://sites.kidrobot.com/munnyworld/

Also a couple of great artist or checkout their flckr:

Vinyl Toys are a culture, get into it
If you don't get the point, than you may NOT be an artist. It's just another way to express you creativity and it doesn't hurt that you can make a pretty penny off of them (ebay Custom Munny)
For those that are into this sort of thing and are interested here are some pros and cons of the RoseArt Color Blank:

Pros:
Good way to practice and get your ideas together
Can get two for the price of one Munny
Come with six markers and Modeling clay
Regardless of the Cons it's still a cute little thing to put on a shelf

Cons:
It's NOT Munny
It's Plastic NOT Vinyl
Marker smears even if you've let it dry for days
Certain spots will be sticky
The orientation of the legs makes it hard to color certain areas of the feet
I don't sculpt,so I had no idea the difference in clays, but the clay that's provided does NOT harden,so no accessories or add ons for these things.

I think that's about it. Mine came two in a box,so the next one I'll use acrylics and see what happens, then on to the real thing.

yeah the clay it comes with sucks, i made a thing for mine to hold and the clay still isn't dry, its been siting out since yesterday.

but those things are fun to color

  • @TSMD Thanks for commenting! Yea they actually are fun to color I did my second one using arcylic paint it came out so much better,so in the future no more sharpies. The clay definitely suck I did this video in April and the skateboard I made still isnt hard.
