It was Hitlers boldest moveand the Allies most shocking surprise. Its winter hell on Earth. Up close and brutal. As far as Shootouts go, this ones the biggest and bloodiest the U.S. ever fought. The Axis of Evil creates an 85-mile bulge along the Western front that extends from the North Sea down to Switzerland. Hitlers mission: drive a wedge between the Allied armies in the north and south. Retake the seaport city of Antwerp. Claim victory.

The Americans not only fight Germans but the weather: minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit - the coldest winter on record in Europe. In some places, the snow is knee deep. In other spots, snow cover is sparse but the wind chill is severe. Foxholes become frozen tombs. Frostbite takes 15,000 men off the line.

We will follow the U.S. troops who defend the bulge and then reclaim it. Well feature the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon and the 2nd Infantry Regiment, who fend off German troops the first day of battle to the 1st Battalion, 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team and the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion who push the enemy out of Belgium.

After six weeks of hellish combat, the Battle of the Bulge pulverizes Hitlers forces on the Western Front and aids the Allies in winning the war.

@mindawareness For one thing if you only stabbed once the german might pull out a p-38 and kill you before he expired. War has always been brutal it's not politicaly correct. sometimes men would have to bash in anothers head with there entrenching shovels.
