Because the Freedom of Information Act only applies to government. The Fed is both private and public.

I disagree, I was disgusted by the Bush regime and, had high hopes for Obama but, he has just proven to be a continuation of the same. I have since realized there is very little difference between the republicans and the democrats, they have both done nothing but rob us blind.

Why do we have only the two party system when there are two other political dimensions? Some republicans agree that there needs to be some government control while some democrats believe the same. Apparently this is where the "magic" is. Those "stragglers" on the far left and right need to consolidate based on information other than two or three limited subjects (abortion, gay marriage, etc.). These issues are a "speck" on the radar compared to the implications of other decisions.
