  • I've been wanting to see this one, but sadly missed out on it in the theatre. (other commitments got in the way) But I really want to check it out, because I'm a fan of Michael Mann and Collateral, Manhunter, and Heat are my top favorite films from the guy. Johnny Depp is such a great actor.

Awesome review as always Gab and Phil! :-)

  • And I read that Mann says the Blu-ray version is the true visual/artistic representation he intended [the look of it], more so than on the big screen.

  • Hope the 'suicide' reference wasn't a spoiler...! I guess with a historical story, it's hard to spoil it. However I myself didn't know too much about the Dillinger story beforehand, other than the 'myth' elements; perhaps that's why I was expecting more! Anyway, the film does have some solid stuff going for it - I hope you enjoy it!

  • This was a terrible film. I absolutely hated the camera work in the film. It had too many close ups, in fact the whole movie was basically a close up. Johnny Depp, who I generally like, pulls off being nothing more than a Johnny Depp character. The Christian Bale character, Pervis, is so bland that he escapes memory at this moment. I must say, however, that the greatest offender is the writer/director himself. A very poor film with cliches coming at us left and right. Watch "Bonnie and Clyde".

  • I'm really digging the digital camera style he's got going on. Which was one of the things I liked about Collateral. Almost looks as if he's making a home movie with a budget and known actors.

  • i thought this movie was fairly enjoyable. 8/10 for me.

  • One of the year's best films. GO SEE IT for those of you who haven't.

  • I'll like to see this movie, thanks for such detailed and insightful review, without giving away any spoilers. You guys are awesome!
