Bent Gate Mountaineering presents first impressions of the Zag Slap Freeride Skis.

The Zag Slap is one of 2 models of Zag skis that we will be carrying for Fall 2010. We tested the 185cm length with dimensions 138mm / 110mm / 136mm. Weight is listed at 2140g (4.7lb) per ski.

The Slap will be a great one ski quiver for riders who prefer big boards and look for soft snow. They are extremely playful, yet plenty powerful when necessary. We expect these to be popular with area skiers that like to cut out of the back access gates. Pair these up with Marker Dukes for alpine touring or Hammerheads for tele!
