I'm Not Funny - Craig D'Andrea (incomplete)

Since there are no videos of this on youtube at all, I decided I'd contribute... except I have yet to record a perfect take of the song. I recorded this a few weeks ago since my guitar sounded so great with new elixirs, and attempted this, but failed.

I took lessons with Craig for a few months and he actually taught me this song. I didn't quite get the part right around 0:42 in that recording, but you're supposed to keep the same loop going while holding down a different note each measure. It's pretty tough, because your fingers are forced in a lot of awkward positions to compensate. This is one of the hardest parts of the song.

Up until the mistake (around take #87 I estimate), I think my playing was pretty good. And since there are no videos of this on youtube, I figured it was still worth posting this as a WIP. In my defense, I haven't touched this song in almost a year before the day I recorded this. I just spent about an hour relearning it and then tried to record, so I guess that explains why it's so unpolished haha.

@sevenrings13 I took lessons with him for a few months actually! haha as soon as I found out he lives only like an hour from me I emailed him about a year ago. He's ag reat guy, and his teaching really helped me polish my technique. I apparently created a ton of bad habits since I'm self-taught. I still haven't shaken off all the bad habits, I imagine if craig saw these videos he'd cringe at how much my hand moves hahaha. anyway, thanks as always for watching. more soon :)
