I'm not very good at this game, I simply prefer to play the newer MK games. My favorite is UMK3. This is the PlayStation port of the game, and it looks very similar to the arcade version.

  • We know the PSX could have made it sound like the arcade because of Mortal Kombat Trilogy. WTF Probe?

  • @richardtheconquerer: Actually the PS1 Version Has the Voice clip for " *insert character name* Wins" but for some stupid reason, you have to turn it on in the options menu to actually hear it.

  • only SNES!!! ;)

  • This music could have been done on the snes. At the time this wasn't bad compared to the Genesis version because i had both versions. I also had the 32X prior to this one. Now all three games on my psp in the midway arcade treasures and all three are better then the older console versions. Awesome to have very close to arcade perfect versions in my pocket! MKT was awesome on the PS1 though. I still have that.

  • Probe was a terrible developer, all of their ports of any Mortal Kombat game came out extremely rushed and half-assed. Didn't help their original IPs weren't great either.

  • They didn't even bother to utilize what the PSX had. Stupid developer decisions

  • Damn, Kitana whooped yo ass.

  • @domineus I bet there was a lot of miscommunication going on in '94 and '95 for PSone development, especially when it came to the MK home releases. For the most part, Acclaim owned the rights to make home console versions of MK1 and MK2 during this point. Could explain a rushed version. I hypothesis that Acclaim/ Probe wasn't allowed to release the actual arcade music on the PS1 version and had to interpolate it the best they can with the tools they can.
