What Carole Vaughan says is exactly what I have recommended to my church, unfortunately without success - Alpha (or Christianity Explored) followed by Freedom in Christ for discipleship. In my experience, no other course addresses the strongholds that keep people from finding the full life Jesus wishes for all of us (John 10:10). Some individuals have however found freedom by following the course at other churches as individuals.
