I sorry, but you are misinformed.
In Italian, i is the plural definite article of il. This, and the article must agree with the noun that it is clarifying, in this case, giorni. "i giorni" means "the days", 'a day' in Italian would use the indefinite un, thus, un giorni.
Regardless of this, i must note that this song is spectacular in both the combination of piano and stringed instrumentation, as well as having a beautiful and moving flow to it. It makes me want to smile & cry
