Video recorded by uncleyap. 7.Nov.2011 17:15Hr @Singapore Bugis MRT Bugis Village Pedestrian Crossing. About 200 pedestrians were tidily packed at high density in middle of busy road. Average 4.5 person/sqm. Spilling out to traffic lanes on both sides. People forced to jump railing to Jay-Walk. Danger of vehicle impact at dense crowd.
2011年11月7日傍晚5时15分。新加坡武吉士地铁站外，公路行人过道极度挤迫危险的状况。行人被迫跳越过道围栏，乱冲过马路。而公路交通繁忙车辆极多。特别对老弱路­人非常不安全。
李家王朝一意孤行，在没有足够土地交通经济和建设资源的扩充下，胡乱大量进口移民，要在短时间内由4百多万提高到650万人口。荒谬离谱。造成各类问题严重。百姓受苦。

a tourist wont want to visit westen singapore...

it gives a distorted impression that the demographic is mainly PRC immigrants & Bangladesh...

i witnessed a caucasian middle-aged couple trying to ask a PRC for directions at Haw Par Villa MRT the other day.

it was horrible, the tourist left with a negative impression of S'pore, thinking this is a break-away provonce/Colony of China...

this is not what the original singapore with 4 main racial harmony is about - chinese, malay, indian, eurasian..

immigration policies do not allow time for planning and implementation of traffic systems.

Same goes for the traffic light at Heeren/Cineleisure

Yet, there is an another traffic lights 50m away and that doesn't have an split crossing part.

So clearly 'impression' of the Causasian tourists are more important then the PRCs/Bangladeshis who, whatever you may say about their numbers, give blood and sweat to help build this country? Nice bit of SPG mindset there.

We are overcrowded with people to the point the noise level is unacceptable and mighty unpleasant in public these days. Is this PAP's idea of a Swiss standard of living? Why pay ministers millions in salaries for this? Unbelievable!

should just enlarge the entire pedestrian crossing to the gigantic Shibuya type of crossing. and it's apt too, since Shibuya, Tokyo is similarly the youth fashion hub.

Wait until got accident...heavy vehicle lose control and mow into that packed centre island. Then LTA/TP will point fingers. That's all our "gahmen" are good for anyway.
