From 1931 Berlin to 2008 Las Vegas. Sheesh, I half expected to see an Elvis impersonator as the Emcee when I saw the flashy Cabaret sign.

This production was supposed to be a co-produced w/ American Musical Theater of San Jose. I worked on it as a production assistant on the AMT end, & it was a mess from start to finish. I HATED the choreography & Sally wasn't interesting to watch! Emcee, a nice guy, but meh. It was really the relationship between Herr Schultz and Fraulein Schneider that made the show watchable. The director butchered the script by adding in pieces from the movie & the staff were difficult to work with.

Honestly - this is too glitzy . The KitKatKlub and its performers are meant to be 2nd rate . This is more Vegas style .
