International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, London 15th of December 2011

Join us on the 15th of December 2011 for a candle light vigil in Soho, London to remember our friends and colleagues who were victims of violence. We will start at Picadilly Circus, Eros statue at 6pm and walk in Soho towards Trade Union Councils (TUC ) Congress House, Great Russell Street, WC1. Programme of the evening include speakers, short movies, and refreshments This event is organised by SERTUC LGBT Network in collaboration with Sex Worker Open University.
Speakers will include:
GMB branch I50 (sex workers)
English collective of Prostitutes
Ava Caradona, X-Talk
Member of STRASS, french union of sex workers
Short movie from Sex Worker Open University 2011
SERTUC women rights committee
John McDonnell MP
and a presentation by Dr Kate Hardy about sex workers' unionisation in Argentina.

The violence is a direct consequence of being ILLEGAL. You can't have any resolution when a deal goes bad other than violence in a black market. You wanna end the violence and get police and societies protection, LEGALIZE IT. Prayer and vigils won't help, this is pointless.
