That was the Number One Hit of 1959. Really sappy, in retrospect. No, "sappy" is not a complimentary term. In my Never Humble Opinion, there was a period of general awfulness extending from the late '50s up until the "First British Invasion" in 1964 -- "The Year of the Beatles, the Year of the Stones" as Paul Simon later described it. Don't hold me to exact years, but earlier '50s songs were good.
