This is my third gameplay / guide video for the Trooper Vanguard / Bounty Hunter Powertech advanced class in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The material covered in this video is relevant to players of Vanguard and Powertech as they're mirror classes.

The video provides detailed educational commentary on tactics for the Harpoon (Grapple) ability in Huttball, which is a ranged pull that can be used for killing opponents, preventing them from scoring, and peeling for friendly players.

As discussed in the video, to maximize the impact of a pull:
1. you can stun your opponent after pulling them into an acid or fire pit
2. you can spec into the tanking tree to gain a 3-sec root effect

Make sure to not waste your pull ability on a target with a full or a declining Resolve bar as the target is immune to CC in both cases.

  • @taugrimtaugrim really nice video as always! what spec are you using atm?

  • @MrAndrewrock 10-37 as Tactics, 37-47 as Assault Spec

  • You don't have to go in the aid you can stand on the edge

  • @UnshapenDonkey understood, but it's really easy to get of the acid if you are pulled into it by the edge.

I pull people into the middle to bury them with the snare + DPS

  • You can grapple ball carriers into your spawn, it will automatically kill them and reset the ball(wont give them a point).

  • @didlysquaat1 Some VG/PT players are comfortable using that tactic, but I am not.

It feels like an unintended exploit.

  • @Jp3asy don't hate the player!

    I can't help it.

I see red players, I want to color match them in a red fire pit or celebrate the holiday season by dragging them into a green pit.

  • Taugrim I will now blame you for each time i get cheesed into fire/acid!

  • Wow this never occurred to me *devilish smile*

  • If you're pulling someone into fire, you can use the 4 corner posts to clip them into the fire if you position yourself with a post between you and the target. Not the easiest thing to pull off, but this will give them a few extra ticks in the fire because they'll be stuck on the post.

  • Acid*

  • Hey do you have some Tips for targeting? I have huge problems selecting enemies as well as allies as targets with my mouse but this may be due to lags because my system just sucks ^^
