  • @madscientistify Its a scary idea. I know little about monetary policy but I'm afraid a common central bank may mean pulling down Kenya will hurting the Wananchi everywhere in the EAC.

  • well the eu also has its own myriad of p[roblems.most europeans do nt approve of an eu political union that sidesteps their national integrity.there are growing calls from countries such as britain to quit the eu.i'm esp wary of that idea to have a common central bank in east africa

  • @madscientistify True, they [we] are going way too fast. We already hate each others guts in our own little broken nations. We are already organized as "polystates " along tribal lines [kenya ,UG] and although TZ is has a more ingrained national identity the situation with Zanzibar is not that rosy. In the last 10 years that EAC has existed only a small section of the gov. knew what was up. This idea is yet to be sold to the Wananchi. What EU did in 40 years we can only dream of 140 years.

  • Rwanda knows it need foreigners...

  • don't you think that this is simply gonna brew xenophobic tendencies amongst people, look at what is happen in s.sudan for example.but i strongl;y disagree on the notion of a common central bank in east africa

  • @72okoths You are not in ODM you are just a Jaluo. If ODM is disbanded tomorrow you will not look for the party with ODM-like ideology but one that rich Jaluos say is okay for you to belong.

  • @madscientistify Because it has most to gain.If it goes first then TZ and UG wont be scared to open up their markets. Then all TZ engineers, english teachers and corporate heads will be replaced by Kenyans. NTV will sack all those Kenyan KiSwahili newscasters in favor of Tanzanians and all that underutilized Ugandan lad will developed by Kenyans, Uganda has nothing to offer unless they give us Migingo.

  • i know this is a very sensitive issue. rwanda has abolished work permits for kenyans. solution: special work permits for east africans. and before you get a work permit one has to be fingerprinted. also our labor department has to be well funded to insure kenyans are not being replaced by east africans at cheap wages.

  • dream on, east africa will never be united, let alone africa as a whole

  • Kajwang I totally disagree with you on this. What work will these people come to do in Kenya while we cannot employ our own people who are more and better Educated than this folks you want to bring?

Please create employment for our people first before bringing all those guys from Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

I am in ODM but i dont agree with this
