I am sorry but you can not replace Robert Englund as Freddy. Hollywood really needs to come up with new ideas instead of remaking all the old ones. You can remake Friday the 13th because you never see Jason's face but to try to replace the best horror actor is very sad a nd a huge mistake. Will definately NOT be seeing this one.

Because when he was caught and tried for the crimes he was accused of...

He was found not guilty. This was all explained in the original by Nancy's mom when Nancy wanted to know who Freddy was and why she was after her in her sleep.

Technically, Freddy was "innocent" or found that way in a court of law. The parents saw it differently, hence why they went after justice their own way and hence why Freddy ended up going after it after the fact in his.

But have you seen the original movie? If you haven't then I recommend you to do it before you watch this remake. It's something you MUST DO. This is a remake, and the guy here is not Freddy, it's an imitation. Watch the first movie and you'll understand. Otherwise your experience on meeting Freddy for the first time will be ruined.

Ok, i did just read a few things and as it turns out, this teaser is just a concept trailer. For instance, at the end when we see and hear freddy, his voice and make uo are subject to change.

I think your missing the point though its not Roberts Freddy its Jackies Freddy. We already know the story of Roberts Freddy alright so in this film we get here a whole new scary story about Freddy. This time around its different and people like hear new things its what makes films interesting. Freddy is still a sick twisted man who kills little children in there dreams out of revenge for being burned alive. The film brings back everything that was great like Nancy but adds a twist to it.

He still kills little kids regardless of what his back story is which makes him still sick twisted child murder after his death. Its a revision and remake which means its going have some what of a different story and that makes more interesting for new and old audiences to see because now have to rediscover who Freddy is. Besides its not rehash of everything seen before its a new story about Freddy sure there something stay the same but a lot things will be different which makes it interesting
