    Hey Jake can you make some kind of mechanical appendage? Something that can extend a persons reach.. perhaps a more intricate version of the grabber! Like an arm of sorts.. Perhaps a robotic arm, if possible?

    The whole idea is great. And recording your monitor from "outside" wasn't a bad idea after all. Sometimes it's better then using programs to capture your screen, because it feels more natural when put between normal shots.
