When I was in the 11th grade back in 1965, my older brother joined the Marines and before he went to Vietname he gave me his 1964 fire engine red comet cyclone. When I graduated I gave it to my younger brother. What a great car. We went through a lot of clutches and transmissions but never had a bit of trouble with the 289.

what a bunch of queers you can restore your cyclone but you cant afford to get it trucked back....instead you'd rather let ignint dumb ho talk about racing a vintage...thats why children dont need to inherit heirlooms like that.....

Dec. 9 ,2007 wet day Murder victim kim lakewood bashed over the head with tire iron and run over several times found in the trunk of a 1987 Astro Van parked in front of Nicks Auto repair and restoration Co. Mouth was stuffed in what seemed to be a used aur filter from a 1964 comet cyclone.

I have a 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone too. I am currently restoring it. The engine it came with was supposed to be a 289 V8, but when i took the engine apart it was a 302, and it was in really bad shape. So I got a 351W for it and changed the front suspension to Mustang II and ours is being painted Reptile Red and has a black interior. Beautiful Cars. Only 7,454 built.
