Went hear today: god awful restaurant.

Drinks are more ice than drink ("Hey, I think you got too much thai tea on your ice there")

The soup on the boat noodles taste like it was cheated: the broth was made with sauces high in MSG.

I dont get it... Why is it the viet's who always try to put the viet stamp on everything... On a clip for thai noodles or hamburgers you see comments like "Pho #1", "Viet food #1". LOL... I might start doing that randomly for things that have no relation to food. A fabreeze commercial will soon have the comment..."Pho #1".

One night during a driving rainstorm we went to this joint on Bourdain's recommendation. There were no other customers. It was frighteningly filthy inside. The dust imbedded in grease on plastic plants, the dirty tables, the grimy walls, the black and white tv with the intermittent signal in the corner, all very scary and depressing. We ordered the food AB had, and...what can I say? Amazingly, it was fantastic. We swore we were going back, and have recommended it repeatedly to friends.

i went to the place and ordered up the boat noodles and it literally tasted like shit.. i think they put in some intestines that weren't cleaned out properly - and i'm no dainty eater, i'll eat chicken feet - cow's brains - duck embryos - but i draw the line where it tastes more like fecal than food
