From 1:22 onward, the trolley is moving north on Broadway between 13th and 14th streets. At 14th street it makes a left in front of Union Square. It then moves down 14th and hangs right onto Union Square West.
People are actually looking up instead of down into an ipod and back then people actually talked to each other face to face and they took the streetcar downtown and everything.
@gvt2u I take it that you don't live in New York City. The streets are still just as crowded with people as they always have been. Less crowded in other cities since more people use their own cars now.
I've watched a lot of very old film footage of street scenes, and the streets in those old films are always very, very crowded. Why was that? It doesn't seem that streets in NYC or elsewhere are as crowded with people and vehicles now as they were then.
To gvt2u: SUBWAYS! If all the people who had to get around were on top of the streets instead of below, imagine what NYC would be like!

@gvt2u
No TiVi, no PC, no mobil phone!
People had to dress up, go outside and socialize.
