Every decade seems to have some skirts you can make fun of: poodle-, mini-, peasant-, slit-. Until the 90s. That's when skirts started to disappear from the city landscape, and that reduced the chances that you could see well-dressed legs stepping on down the street. Enjoy these well-heeled pretty women in motion from back in the day before commuter Reeboks or business casual slacks.

I have a hard time believing this video was of anthropological intent when it was shot and assembled in the 80's. I think we are watching someone's personal compilation of strange women in skirts, walking by while the cameraman surreptitiously films their movements

hah great. some of it looks dowright ridculous now though, not the skirts but the shoes - like they're on tiptoe.
