VIP 's where only made for 2 years... 66 and 67.. I have a 1966 with black vinyl top 2DR with the gun metal paint that was only available for the VIP not Furys.. and it has 29K miles.. been sitting in my dads shop since 1972 when he bought it from the original owner for $700.00

Nice car I used to have a 66 fury 2 with the 318 you should probably look into that valve chatter you have

My parents had one, green, they said it was the best car they ever had.
Always started and never got stuck in the snow.

Nice car. Have you found what the miss was from? Sounds like a it could be a collapsed lifter. These are sweet cars. I love mine. How is the interior in yours

It needed some carb adjusting and there is a vacuum leak related to the intake manifold.
The interior (except the carpet) is in great condition. No rips in the seats and the dashboard has no cracks. Headliner is good, too.

Ahhhh the familiar sound of a Chrysler starter. It brings a tear to my eyes.

I miss that sound, too. (I owned a '66 Dodge Dart GT V-8 from 1979-2002.)
