Yes, Rin Tin Tin XI is indeed a purebred German Shepherd Dog.He is the 11th in the Rn Tin Tin legacy. German Shepherd Dogs do not all have to have a "saddle." Actually the breed has several colors including Sable, Grey, White, Black and Tan, Black and Red. Blue, Liver and Black. Little Rin Tin Tin XI is a Silver Grey, an agouti pattern with no saddle. Sables are also considered an agouti pattern and some breeders also refer to a Silver Grey as a Silver Sable.

He's so adorable. I have a male, german shepherd too and I wished he was younger when we had him...we was rather 1 1/2 years old. He's 3 now. My concern: that's not a pure german shepherd right?...there's no saddle.
