Yawn. Another video of a poor driver and over-reacting cyclist. Yes van man was wrong, but cyclist could easily have avoided the situation. What if everyone went around reporting things to the police? You both need to grow up.

@gezza403. Maybe if everyone went around reporting dangerous driving to the police they may sit up and take notice. It may also result in the few drivers who shouldn't be on the road due to poor skills being sent on driver awareness courses or, if necessary, banned. As a cyclist I shouldn't have to take avoiding action - the incident shouldn't have happened if the van driver had waited and given way as he was required to do by law.

I don't know what planet they are from, and I also do not know why so many idiots have this perception that the amount of money they pay is proportional to the amount of right they have on the road. @milldabeast519. I did involve the cops. That's why the driver went to court, got a caution for assault and a £175 fine for careless driving. Wouldn't it be good if all motorists had a license/insurance/obey traffic laws? That way the law enforcement on your streets could be out catching criminals.

Here we have a clip of a van driver pulling out into the path of a cyclist and, as opposed to making a mental note to correct future actions, shouts abuse and throws a bottle out of the window at a far more vulnerable road user. @idontpayroadtax It's how the person it was shouted at in a situation would understand it. In this situation as a bystander I would take it to be aggressive and lead to 'go on then... you t@%&...' or similar. So yes shouting that at someone they could take it to be road rage. Indeed someone who was driving a car in a similar situation would easily be accused of starting road rage.

Yep the guy was wrong, but a simple act of common sense on your part would have prevented all this. Should you be fined for your videos you post of you going up to people and harassing/intimidation them for what you believe is poor driving? The roads are to be shared and it works 2 ways.
